Close up of a face shows that the person is showing emotion towards something. In this picture she look a bit surprised and confused but this is the enigma of the shot.
Close up of an object that tells us that remote is going to me used or something has just happened to the remote, like in a horror or a thriller the tv turned off randomly or in a comedy it would be a lazy person looking for the remote in a stupid place.
Big Close up is used to show more emotion than just an ordinary close up because i no distractions behind it's just the emotion on the persons face. This shot would probably be used if they were crying or terrified.

North By Northwest - Title Sequence, Musical Score. Watch more top selected videos about: North by Northwest, Bernard Herrmann
The Lines come from the top left and side and animate to a grid made up of loads of diagonal and veritcal lines. The grid took up the whole scene, which resembles a building or a sky scraper
The text falls from the top and rises from the bottom but before the text come up or down a white block move down or up depends on the way the text come in to the center directly on the lines of the grid. The ext also takes up a bit of the screen and is in the middle of the scene.
The Shot of the gird dissolves into and building of the exact same lines and then the building has a relfection of cars rushing pass the building. From the reflection from the building you can see people and cars which tells you it's rush hour, from the next scene you can see that it's 4 o'clock when work finishes cause they are all rushing to the sub way and fighting for cabs
The music is old fashioned and also sounds extremely dramatic, and very chaotic. The orchestral sounds give a dramatic atmosphere to the opening sequence. Flutes, trumpets and other brass instruments seem to have been used in the making of the beginning track.
